Meet the Straw Hat Pirates

 The characters in One Piece are so well-developed. Each person in the Straw Hat Pirates has different abilities and different reasons for joining this crew for their journey together:

Monkey D. Luffy

- The captain of the Straw Hat Pirates, Monkey D. Luffy is known for having the supernatural powers of rubber given by the Gum-Gum Fruit. The whole dream of his life is finding the legendary treasure called the One Piece and being proclaimed Pirate King. It's that boundless optimism of Luffy that seeps into his unyielding determinations and natural-born leadership.

- Nami is the crew's navigator; she has a keen sense of the weather and navigation and dreams of mapping the whole world. Having had a background as a skilled cartographer, together with her abilities in predicting and controlling weather conditions, easily makes her a very valuable member in the crew's very dangerous journey across the Grand Line.

- Roronoa Zoro is the crew's swordsman and uses three swords in his unique "Santoryu" fighting style. His ambition in life is to be the greatest swordsman in the world, inspired by his teacher, Dracule Mihawk. With regard to such an ambitious goal, he has always stood firm, and his incomparable skills in combat turn him into an unbeatable combatant.

- Usopp is a marksman, and a tailor of tales highly regarded for an extreme imagination in fabricating mostly outlandish untruths and skilled marksmanship. His dream is to become a fearless marine warrior, the same as his father, Yasopp, who happens to be one of the members of the Red-Haired Pirates. His inventive gadgets and sharp aim make Usopp a vital crew.

- Sanji is the talented cook of the crew who desires to find All Blue-a Sea where all the fish in each ocean are said to come together. His cooking skills keep the crew full-stomached, while his kicking skills during battles turn him into an important part of the fights.

- Tony Tony Chopper is a doctor of the crew and a reindeer that has gained human-like features when he consumed the Human-Human Fruit. His dream is to be a great doctor who can treat any type of illness or disease. Chopper's medical expertise and his various transformations are important concerning health and survival for the crew.

- Nico Robin is an archaeologist of the crew with the Flower-Flower Fruit's power, which enables her to sprout extra limbs. She aspires to locate the True History located within various ancient texts, which carry the keys needed to understand world history. Her knowledge in history and good combat skills prove very important among the crew.

- Franky is a shipwright and a cyborg, famous for his super mechanical skills and incredible strength. His ambition has been to build a ship that could cross the world; this he has succeeded in by building the Thousand Sunny. His immense skill with shipbuilding and his powerful fighting abilities make him a very important factor for the success of this crew.

- By the powers of the Revive-Revive Fruit, Brook is both the musician for the crew and a living skeleton. His dream is to meet up once again with his long-separated friend, the whale Laboon, who waits for him at Reverse Mountain. Brook's musical talents and his abilities with a sword make him both an entertainer and a formidable fighter.

-Jinbe, the Straw Hat Pirates' helmsman, is a fish-man and master of Fish-Man Karate. Formerly a Warlord of the Sea, his dream is to achieve harmony between humans and fish-men. With his formidable strength and expertise in navigation, Jinbe plays a crucial role in steering the crew through dangerous waters and contributing to their journey toward the One Piece.
